Far Infrared Treatment

“Far Infrared Potential Benefits and the Scientific Basis of Far Infrared Ray Therapy”:

Japanese and Chinese researchers and clinicians have completed extensive research on far infrared heat therapy and report many amazing discoveries. In Japan, there is an ‘Infrared society’ composed of medical doctors and physical therapists dedicated to further Far Infrared heat research. Their findings support the outstanding health benefits of Far Infrared thermal therapy as a natural method of healing.

Thermal Oncology in Germany: The Klinik St. George Hospital in Bad Aibling, Germany, has treated 2,500 German and 2,500 foreign patients each year. Their cancer regime is a week of detoxification and strengthening the immune system with diet and nutritional supplements, followed by two weeks of localized far Infrared hyperthermia therapy and low dose chemotherapy. This regime has produced great success in combating various cancers.

Hyperthermia is used extensively in Asia and Europe – especially Japan and Germany – but is only fairly recently in comparison, being researched and utilized within the USA, acknowledged and attested to by the American Cancer Association and the National Cancer Institute on their respective websites.

Far Infrared promotes creation of nitric oxide. The action of nitric oxide was not discovered until about 1991 by Dr. Salvador Mondada. Then three Pharmacologists, Robert F. Furchgott, Louis J. Ignarro, and Ferid Murad won the Nobel Prize in 1996 “for their discoveries concerning nitric oxide as a signalling molecule in the cardiovascular system”.

Note on nitric oxide:
“From diabetes to hypertension, cancer to drug addiction, stroke to intestinal motility, memory and learning disorders to septic shock, sunburn to anorexia, male impotence to tuberculosis, there is probably no pathological condition where nitric oxide does not play an important role.” – Source: Nitric Oxcide Society Website.

Recent research shows what Nitric Oxide does: (A Neurotransmitter that turns things on and off) (The Far Infrared rays activate Arginine in the body to create Nitric Oxide (NO).

  1. “NO (Nitric Oxide) relaxes arteries, thereby helping to maintain normalizing blood pressure … unless NO is otherwise in short supply in the body: (Improves Heart function). It directs the beating of the heart, triggering the heart to beat faster or slower.” Dr. Furchgott discovered NO is the mechanism relaxing the heart known as the “endothelium-dependent relaxing factor”. Lack of oxygen constricts the heart. (NO carries oxygen in and carbon dioxide out)
  2. “It helps keep open the coronary arteries, preventing angina pain.”
  3. “It’s a free-radical scavenger that helps to lower serum cholesterol and prevent “bad” LDL cholesterol from oxidizing and becoming worse.”
  4. “It’s a powerful anticoagulant (blood thinner) that helps prevent blood platelets from clumping together and causing heart attack and stroke.
  5. “It enhances blood flow to the penis, helping to boosts erections.”(Like Viagra)
  6. “It enhances sexuality for women as well.”
  7. “It serves as a critical “bullet “by different immune-system cells that use it to kill bacteria and viruses and even shrink some cancerous tumours.”
  8. “It functions as a “messenger molecule” allowing nerve cells and brain to communicate with each other.” It lasts at most five seconds.
  9. “It is used by the brain to encode long-term memory and ensure blood flow to brain cells.” (Improves memory function)
  10. “It helps regulate insulin secretion by the pancreas, reducing the risk of diabetes.”
  11. “It helps control the lung airways, allowing one to breathe easier and avoid lung problems.”
  12. “It relaxes “hypertonic” sphincter muscles, preventing and healing haemorrhoids.”

"I met Fiona at a networking event about two years ago where she was giving a talk on Colon Hydrotherapy, and was immediately impressed with her knowledge and quiet, calm manner. I have been seeing Fiona for nutritional advice and regular colon hydrotherapy treatments ever since and highly recommend her. (I had been looking for someone to go to for colonics for years, and was very happy to finally find someone I felt comfortable with). Fiona gives regular talks to groups and offers her excellent treatments in Tunbridge Wells, Battle and Hastings.  She works to a very high professional standard and is gentle, caring and sensitive. I recommend her to many of my own clients as I feel that nutrition and colon hydrotherapy is so key to overall health and well being - certainly critical to skin condition!"
